Mahindra launches Scorpio-N SUV in South Africa

The eagerly awaited, brand-new Scorpio-N has officially debuted in South Africa by Mahindra South Africa. In June 2022, the same month that it was revealed in India, the updated model of the venerable SUV was launched in South Africa.

The Scorpio-N broke reservations records in India, reaching 100,000 in less than 30 minutes. It is a genuine Mahindra SUV that builds upon the game-changing tradition of the original Scorpio. In South Africa, customers have been waiting for it with equal fervour.

In South Africa, customers have been waiting for it with equal fervour. Global standards were followed in the design and engineering of the All-New Scorpio-N. The Scorpio-N raises industry benchmarks in all important categories, including performance, capability, technology, sophistication, ride and handling, noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), interiors, appearance, and, most importantly, safety. The All-New Scorpio-N was the first body-on-frame SUV to receive a 5-star rating under the new crash-test guidelines adopted by the Global New Car Assessment Programme (GNCAP) on July 1, 2022.

The Scorpio-N was conceived and built at a cost of R3.4 billion, which includes the setup of a top-notch, highly automated manufacturing line, and is produced at the state-of-the-art plant at Chakan, Pune.

The third-generation body-on-frame architecture for the All-New Scorpio-N has been built to give real SUV characteristics while making sure every drive is safe, comfortable, and exhilarating.

Bookings for the All-New Scorpio-N will be available online beginning at 11 a.m. on February 8, 2023. On the website, https://mahindra.co.za, you can reserve a Scorpio-N. Depending on the version the customer chooses, reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis and serve as the foundation for delivery dates. Beginning on February 8, 2023, test drives will be available at all Mahindra Dealerships nationwide.

Outstanding presence

With the Scorpio-N, machismo is elevated to a whole new level. The sinewy shape of a swimmer served as inspiration for the even more muscularization of the trademark wheel arches. To give the Scorpio-N more bite, a metallic Scorpio tail piece is effortlessly incorporated into the beltline and swings up to the top of the window. The front effortlessly carries on the design's imposing quality. Because of the tall, stacked taillamp design, which provides a commanding position on the back as well as the front, the Scorpio character is everywhere. Six different body colours will be available for the All-New Scorpio-N: Grand Canyon, Red Rage, Dazzling Silver, Everest White, Deep Forest and Napoli Black.

In its segment, the All-New Scorpio-N has the lowest CO2 emissions. This has been made possible through wise product development and skilled engineering from the beginning. Additionally, a number of environmentally friendly technologies have been utilised in metallurgy and component optimization, such as the most recent dip paint (CG 800 CED coating), low RRC tyres, and LEDs, which can cut overall energy consumption by 10%.
