Suzuki Reveals Pricing for the All-New 2024 Swift

First introduced at the Festival of Motoring in Kyalami in August, the refreshed Swift has quickly gained attention with its updated design, a new engine, and an optional CVT transmission.
The 2024 Suzuki Swift line-up features five models, starting from the base Swift 1.2 GL with a manual transmission, up to the range-topping 1.2 GLX CVT. All models in the range are powered by Suzuki's next-generation Z12E engine, which produces 60 kW and 112 Nm of torque. This refined three-cylinder engine maintains the performance of its predecessor but delivers improved fuel efficiency thanks to a multi-point fuel injection system, better thermal management, and the lightweight construction of the Swift, with some models weighing as little as 908 kg.
Key standard features across the new Swift range include power steering, digital climate control, a digital instrument cluster, rear LED tail lamps, parking sensors, and electrically adjustable and foldable side mirrors. Inside, all models come with electric windows, a height-adjustable driver's seat, and a 60/40 split-folding rear bench for added convenience. Safety is also a priority, with six airbags, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), hill hold control, emergency brake assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchor points standard on all variants.
Swift 1.2 GL: Affordability Meets Functionality:
The Swift 1.2 GL, priced at R219,900, serves as the entry-level model. It offers essential features for safety and comfort, such as 165/80R14 steel wheels with covers, Engine Auto Start/Stop (on manual models), and all the standard amenities expected in a Swift.
Swift 1.2 GL+: A Perfect Balance:
For R239,900, buyers can opt for the Swift 1.2 GL+ with a five-speed manual transmission, while the CVT version is priced at R259,900. In addition to the standard features, this model upgrades to 185/65 R15 alloy wheels, a 7” touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and an integrated reverse camera.
Swift 1.2 GLX: Compact Luxury:
The top-spec Swift 1.2 GLX, available for R264,900 (manual) and R284,900 (CVT), takes luxury in a compact form to the next level. The exterior gains LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside, the GLX boasts a larger 9” infotainment system, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, and an upgraded sound system with additional tweeters. CVT models also come with paddle shifters for enhanced driving control.
Service Plan and Warranty:
All 2024 Suzuki Swift models come with a two-year/30,000 km service plan (with intervals set at 15,000 km) and a promotional five-year/200,000 km warranty, which includes roadside assistance.
