The highly anticipated all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado has officially hit the South African market. This latest model seamlessly combines the iconic Land Cruiser DNA with cutting-edge technology to enhance both off-road prowess and everyday performance.
Over 70 years after the debut of the original Toyota BJ, the new Land Cruiser Prado returns to its roots, emphasizing reliability and ruggedness. It's designed to be a trustworthy companion, capable of navigating the toughest terrains and ensuring you get home safely.
Under the hood, the new Prado features a robust 150kW 2.8-litre turbodiesel engine paired with an eight-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission. This powertrain enables it to tow loads up to 3500kg. Inside, the Prado offers both five and seven-seat configurations, emphasizing strength and functionality typical of a true off-roader.
The Prado lineup includes three variants, each designed to deliver exceptional capability and advanced features. The TX variant serves as the foundation, offering a fully leather-upholstered cabin and heated passenger seats. The VX-R variant steps up with additional features such as a digital rear-view mirror and a larger infotainment screen. At the top of the range is the exclusive First Edition, available in limited numbers and featuring distinctive round headlamps, setting it apart from the other models.
Toyota owners can enhance their experience by signing up for a MyToyota profile, a platform designed by Toyota SA for quick and convenient access to vehicle-related information and services. New Toyota vehicles are equipped with a device that offers in-car WiFi capability (with 25GB complimentary data) and a suite of Connect services.
